What you may do
MIT is a short open source licence that lets you do almost anything.
We ask
Keep the copyright notice and the licence text with copies of the icon files. You do not need a credit in your product.

Pro styles
Two ways to get Pro
The other twelve styles are proprietary, and one licence key turns them on.
Regular Rounded, Regular Sharp and Solid are the only styles under MIT. Every other style is proprietary. We license it to you and do not sell it to you, so we keep the copyright and you get the right to use it.
There are two licences. A subscription runs while it is active. A one-time licence is paid once and has no renewal. Each is for one named person, which we call a seat, and each comes with one licence key.
The key is how the icon browser, the MCP package and the plugins check that your licence is active.

A key is used once it is activated, entered in a tool or used to fetch a Pro icon. The Terms page has the full refund rules.
If we ever close the Pro service, we give one-time licensees at least 12 months notice and a download of every Pro file they had access to.

Pro terms
What you may and may not do
These rules are the same for the subscription and the one-time licence.
Free
You may
Use the Pro icon files in unlimited personal and client projects and in commercial products, as part of a finished work. That covers apps, sites, print, presentations, and Figma or Framer designs. You do not need to credit us.
You may not
Resell or share the icon files as files. Put them in another icon set, font, template, UI kit, library or marketplace. Train a model on them or build a competing icon library. Sublicense them.
Client work
A finished work you deliver to a client may include the icons. The client may not take the icon files out of that work and reuse them anywhere else.
Seats and keys
A seat is one named person and cannot be transferred. Do not share your key. A team needs one seat for each person who uses the files in the tools. A key works on up to 5 devices. We may suspend a key that is shared or abused, and we tell you first except in a case of fraud.
Originality
Only our licence applies
Every icon is original to this library, so no other set's terms come with it.
Nothing is traced, imported or copied from other icon sets.
Brand logos are not part of the library. No licence on this page covers the UIX Icons name or the Swash mark.

Questions
Are UIX Icons free for commercial use?
Yes, in the free styles. Regular Rounded, Regular Sharp and Solid use the MIT licence. It allows commercial use, client work and changes. Keep the licence text with copies of the files. The other styles are Pro. They are proprietary and need a subscription or a one-time licence, and this page lists their terms.
Do I need a key or an account for the free styles?
No. Regular Rounded, Regular Sharp and Solid need no key, no account and no subscription. Use them in every channel without signing in. Only the Pro styles ask for a licence key, which you get after checkout and which shows that your licence is active.
Do I need to credit UIX Icons?
Not in your product. MIT asks you to keep the copyright notice and licence text with copies of the icon files, for example in your source code or package. You do not need a visible credit in your interface. A link back is always welcome, though.
Can I use these icons in a client project?
Yes, in the free styles. Regular Rounded, Regular Sharp and Solid are under MIT, which allows client and commercial work. Keep the copyright notice and licence text with copies of the icon files. You do not need to credit UIX Icons in the product. Pro styles follow the Pro terms on this page.
Am I allowed to edit the free icons?
Yes. MIT lets you change, merge and publish work that includes the free styles. You can recolour them, resize them or edit their paths in Studio. Keep the copyright notice and licence text with copies of the icon files. Pro styles are not covered by MIT.
Can I put UIX Icons in my own open source project?
Yes, with the free styles. MIT lets you include the icons in your project and share it. Keep the copyright notice and licence text with the icon files. Do not include Pro styles. They are proprietary, and a Pro licence does not let you republish them.
What can I do with the one-time licence?
One named person may use the Pro icon files they have obtained in unlimited personal and client projects and in commercial products, as part of a finished work. That covers apps, sites, print, presentations, and Figma or Framer designs. You need no credit. The right has no end date, and it covers new Pro icons for as long as we run the Pro service.
Can I keep using Pro icons after I cancel?
Work you shipped while the subscription was active can stay in use. When the paid period ends, the Pro tools stop working for you, and you may not add Pro icons to new work. To add Pro icons later, subscribe again or take the one-time licence, which has no end date.
Can my team or my client reuse the icons?

What if UIX Icons stops selling Pro?
